Furry Friends Gentle Pet Grooming is a family owned and operated open play dog daycare, boarding facility and spa.  While we have offered grooming for over 12 years in the same location and we are excited to now provide dog parents with a safe and fun place to leave their four legged family members. Basically, we’re your one-stop shop to spoil your dog! Our friendly and knowledgeable team is highly trained in providing your dog with a safe, healthy and fun environment.

Dogs are pack animals and don’t like to be left alone for long periods of time.  Furry Friends provides an affordable solution for those days/nights when you have to be away from home.  All of our team members are animal owners so you can be comforted in knowing that your dog will receive constant human and canine contact. Whether you don’t feel comfortable leaving your dog at home for the day or you’re planning a vacation, we provide a fully-equipped dog daycare and boarding service. Your dog will play to their heart’s content in our safe and fully enclosed indoor and outdoor play yards. Each dog is assigned to a playgroup based on their size, temperament and play style, and they get to hang out and play with their friends for 8 hours a day. For our overnight guests, we recognize however, that each pet is an individual and may prefer a slower paced environment or no socialization with other dogs so they will be given their own supervised private time in both the indoor and outdoor yards.  

Besides a full day of indoor and outdoor play and exercise, we also provide areas to rest and relax. Our overnight guests are provided with spacious heated and air conditioned accommodations, ranging from our small cabins/crates (  x ), standard suites (4 x 6) to our Grand Suites (5 x 8). Our small cabins/crates are stainless steel enclosures that are perfect for dogs that are used to being crated at home and like that cozy feeling. The standard suites are larger and provide plenty of room for your dog to move around and not feel confined.  Our Grand suites are the largest suite available and feature a window and home like furnishings.

All overnight guests are provided morning and afternoon meals in their private suite. At bedtime, each overnight guest is taken out for a late night potty break and when they return to their suite a fluffy blanket has been added to their kuranda bed along with a treat. Mood music is played while they dream at night.

We have a local veterinarian that is on-call for any needs we might have.  

Overnight guests should bring their own dog food as this lessens the likelihood of an upset tummy during their stay.  Please bring your dog’s food in pre-measured individual disposable bags labeled with your dog’s name and instructions.  We will provide free of charge any medicines/supplements as needed but we do ask that they are in their original packaging, labeled with your dog’s name and instructions.

Please keep in mind that holidays and school breaks fill up quickly.  Please call and make your reservation as early as possible to secure your desired accommodations. You will find the required check-in documents online.  Please complete these and bring them with you to save time. Please allow approximately 10-15 minutes to get your dog checked in on day of arrival.

All dogs are required to be current on rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella vaccines. Titers is accepted.

Boarding Prices:

These prices are per night and include the day care. Drop off times start as early as 7:00 am. Boarding Check out time is 2:00pm day of departure.  If you are not able to pick up by 2:00pm we will be happy to keep your pet in day care for $5 additional.  After 2:00pm pick-up fee is waived if you are getting your dog groomed/bathed. Any dogs sharing a suite must be from the same household. Please call us for multiple dog discount pricing.

Any reservations that coincide with holidays or Cherokee County school breaks require a 3-night minimum stay and a 50% nonrefundable deposit at the time the reservation is placed. Holidays fill up quickly so we encourage you make your reservations as soon as possible.  

REQUIREMENTS

Age:	4 months and older. Puppies (under 1yr) will have mandatory Naps during the day to help prevent them from getting run down. Our senior guests may also receive naps for their wellbeing.
Spay/Neuter:	All dogs must be spayed or neutered by 9 months
Vaccinations OR Titers:	Every 3 Years Rabies – We are required by law to maintain proof of Rabies immunization.  A 3-year Rabies vaccine is sufficient!   DHLP, Parvo – Commonly called a Combo Vaccine.  We accept either vaccine OR Titer Tests these every 3 years. (If your dog is older than 7 and/or has any health issues you should consult your Vet before re-vaccinating.  We will accept Titers or an Opt Out letter from your Veterinarian) Every Year Bordetella, Canine Influenza Vaccines for contagious upper respiratory conditions. Documents accepted: Proof of vaccination OR positive titer test results from a licensed Veterinarian showing the dates the vaccinations are due to be renewed must be submitted in writing before any dog can be accepted into our facility. Ask your Vet to email your records to us at cindylisk@bellsouth.net. Updated proof of required vaccination OR titer must be submitted to Furry Friends on an ongoing basis and is the responsibility of the parent.
